maytag_a608 (04).JPG - Seems like one towel from every load got sacrificed - again for garage use only. I should note, I work on (under) old cars for a hobby, and thought it quite possible a greaseball landed in a trouser cuff, and thus was imported to the laundry. But after maybe six weeks of this, that theory dwindled, and it seemed more likely the grease came from the laundry machine. I ripped a strip off of a towel and dragged it like floss under the agitator, but it came out (relatively) clean. I tried to pull the agitator out to see underneath, but when it felt like it might break - I sought help.
